New Location Starting with April 2008 Meeting - To be announced here when decided. Email message will be sent to all members who have provided their address to the club.

We normally meet at 7:30pm on the fourth Friday in January, April, July and October. Meetings generally last less than two hours. The actual date for the meeting in April is frequently "adusted" to compemsate for "Fiesta Week" in San Antonio, plus or minus a week. The actual date will be posted after the January meeting when announced at that time.

Here are some photos from our October 24, 2003 meeting. Our very own Johnny Wallace, K5POP, introduced two San Antonio Police Officers Lisa Castillo, Ed Ramirez.

The officers presented an overview of what SAPD has been tasked to accomplish with respect to the Homeland Security Act and were put in contact with Neil WA5FSR and Al KC5S (ARES coordinators for Bexar County) to coordinate information and support from the Amateur Radio Community.

In the first photo (left) we see Alfred, KC5QW, seated, Johnny K5POP at the podium, and Officers Eddie Ramirez and Lisa Castillo standing behind Alfred. In the second photo (right) we have a view from the rear of the room while Johnny, K5POP was addressing our group. The third photo (below) was taken at the restaurant following the meeting. We had forty-one attendees plus one newborn baby (with mommy) and one seeing eye dog at the meeting, wiht twenty-three going to the restaurant afterward (plus the dog).

Following the conclusion of the meetings, many of the members frequently go to a local restauran to have dinner.

All members and visitors are invited to join us both during and after the meetings. An announcement is always made toward the end of the meeting regarding the plans for the night's dinner.
